Well, it’s very simple: We communicate through iMessage, WhatsApp or Telegram (they’re free apps for your phone), but not in real time, so you don’t have to wait for your scheduled call to communicate with me: you just take out your phone and send me a voice or video message, or even a text message and I’ll reply within 48 hours tops (Monday through Friday). I usually reply sooner than that!

Hi! I’m Sandra Mejia. I’ve been an Illustrator and Pattern Designer since 2011. My path has been full of interesting ventures: from manufacturing my own products, to working in house for a swimwear company, to licensing my art, selling it outright, exhibiting in galleries, at trade shows, and working on commissions to teaching over 120,000 students online. I’ve made lots of mistakes along the way and I want to keep you from having to make the same ones.
You’ll get a confirmation email from my Teachable school. You’ll create an account on there to manage your billing and payment preferences.
I send you a welcome email with detail info on how it works. If you chose the Asynchronous option, you tell me which platform you want to communicate through. If it’s a video call, you can book your time in my calendar.

Do you offer refunds?
Because of the digital nature of this service, I don’t offer refunds but I want you to be happy, so if you don’t find our initial interactions helpful, please let me know and we can work something out.
What do I need to access the service?
For the Asynchronous option, you’ll need a phone with either iMessage, or WhatsApp or Telegram apps installed. If you don’t have a way to access this, send me an email prior to enrolling and we can discuss other options.
For the video call you’ll need a phone or computer preferably with access to a camera. We can use either Google Meet or Zoom.
What happens if I don’t know how to use WhatsApp or Telegram?
Don’t worry. They’re very easy to learn and they’re FREE! If you don’t know how to use them, you can check these tutorials out:
Can you teach me how to draw/paint?
Yes I can! But for that, I offer online classes. Go HERE to see all the classes I offer.
How do you count the 60 min allowance?
Every audio and video sent (by you or me) will count towards your total minutes.
Our intro messages and tech support messages don’t count towards your allotted minutes.
Every text message sent counts as 1 minute. I will usually reply by voice or video message but if you send me a text message, even if it’s 2 pages long, it counts as a minute.
If you send me a portfolio to review, I will review it on video in real time, while I comment on it, and that will count for as many minutes as it takes me to review it.
For example:
You send me a long text message, that counts as 1 minute. I reply with a 5 minute video, that counts as 5 more minutes. You send me a portfolio and it takes me 10 minutes to review it. In this example, you've used 16 of your 60 minutes.
